It’s all happening in the culinary world of St Helens’s restaurants. Following the phenomenal success of Jamie Oliver’s takeover bid at the Spicy Chicken, it seems that all the top chefs are looking for a piece of the action.
In the last few weeks, building work has got underway, developing the very first of Ramsay’s new ‘drive thru’ restaurant chains. The new concept is being put together under the working title of ‘Ramsay 2 Go’ and will offer all of Gordon’s favourite dishes with the convenience of McDonalds or Burger King. A home delivery service will also be available for orders over £5 (within a five mile radius). As usual, SHCN were first in on the news and contacted Ramsay’s press office to arrange an interview with the Glaswegian ‘boss from hell’. Relaxing in Café Chloe over a cappuccino, Ramsay looked confident about his latest business venture. ‘It’s fucking-well going to be fucking great, and no fucking mistake, you fucker’, explained the chef, ‘ and the fucking menu, is fucking second to fucking none, you’ll fucking see’ continued the fucking chef.
‘Ramsay 2 Go’ opens late 2006 on Derbyshire Hill Road, Parr. |
And who better to join the cream of the crop than the craggy-faced foul-mouth, Gordon Ramsay. Not satisfied with his collection of twenty-seven Michelin stars, Ramsay is now setting his sites on achieving even more in the arse-end of Parr, Derbyshire Hill.
In fact, in a shock departure from Ramsay’s predictable fare, ‘Ramsay 2 Go’ will be offering a diverse range of meals, ranging from pizzas (including ‘Meat Feast’ and ‘Hawaiian’) right through the gastronomic spectrum to Donner Kebabs and Southern Fried Chicken.
